Last fall, the Mary N. Smith Alumni Association partnered with students from the University of Virginia School of Agriculture to help preserve our past and plan for the future.
Students gathered stories from alumni and community members, capturing memories of school days and the important role Mary N. Smith, both the person and the school building, has played in our community.
They also shared ideas for the future, showing how the building can continue to be used for community programs, cultural events, and gatherings while still honoring its history.
We’re excited to share this work and keep building a strong future together!
